(I can't recall the name of the wines our meals but they w were perfectly  paired with our meals. 3.5 stars. We were seated on the 2nd floor at the top of the stairs, which was nicely secluded off from others. All in all Thermidor makes for a nice dinner, and if I'm craving lobster thermidor again I'd certainly eat theirs, but the entire experience didn't blow me away. Hold warm until ready to heat lobsters. We had crostino with blue cheese and a side salad that were all great. I hated the potatoes/carrots that were paired with the Lobster. The service. While Chez Papa next door was full, Thermidor still had empty tables. And yes we will, but do want to suggest to lose that sour undertone and would love to try out their other dishes and desserts.Food is really 3 stars but the extra effort earned the last star.Overall the service was great if you were not having anything planned afterwards. Place lobster tails cut side down in the butter. And part of the meat was either undercooked or not fresh as it was a bit chewy at some part while another part was mushy. We were pleased, and overall we found the value for price to be good. Here they serve half the lobster in a thermidor style and the tail like any other poached lobster tail. I am not of the persusion that the pig is a magical animal offering us so many delicacies (that would be my husband). When the mixture has reduced by half, add the mustard, parsley, lemon juice and seasoning. High-quality smoked fish.Our server was born to serve. The hardest to take though was when the wine did not come with dinner. Devoured them. I would have thought it would have overpowered the lobster - quite the contrary. Oxtail. I will say it was probably the best lobster tail I can remember having in a long time. First it seemed like the servers didn't know who was supposed to take our table. The pork belly with persimmon and pomegranate was good, but too fatty, mostly fat, hardly any meat. What an amazing experience -- everything was top-notch, from the cocktails at the beginning to the appetizers (potato croquettes with lobster butter, caviar and smoked trout on homemade potato chips, oysters on the half shell, and mini lobster roll) to the main entrees of lobster thermidor and filet mignon; to the desserts, a fudgesicle bar and key lime parfait. It feels a little like it has an identity crisis. We came on a Wednesday night before the crowd arrived. I love his creations Another thing I want to let you know, Thermidor has a really cool bar, great happy hour too, plus the main dinning room is perfect for a romantic evening, girls night out and/or a large corporate event. Our server was fun and had great suggestions.They have a great semi private space for 20 - definitely where I will plan my next birthday party for a friend.I'm late on this discovery but will be making up for it with lots of return visits in the near future. We started with appetizers, the oysters were terrific, the ahi tuna was very good. We also ordered a side of the brussel sprouts which were out of this world. I will start my review with the good. Buy the Halves of Dressed Fresh Lobster (Serves 2) from Marks and Spencer's range. :)Next to the happening Chez Papa, Thermidor seems comparatively starved for attention. I have heard of Lobster Thermidor before, in a few of Julia Child versions, or maybe seeing it in the commercial show. Their pommes dauphine is also delicious.I'd be remiss coming to Thermidor and not trying their namesake, the lobster thermidor.
